Overseas Express starts building the new logistic-distribution center worth 10 mil Euro
Setting up the foundation stone marked the beginning of building the biggest and cutting edge package sorting center in the Central and Eastern Europe.
The new logistic and distribution center, located in Hrvatski Leskovac, with surface of 20.000 m², whereof 3.000 m² is warehousing area and 2.000 m² is office area, represents the biggest package sorting center in this part of Europe.
The end of the construction process and the relocation of Overseas Express to the new logistic location in Hrvatski Leskovac is expected for the middle of the year 2009.
Building of the new logistic and distribution center is in accordance with the Overseas Express regional expansion policy and is a direct result of the continues investments in the logistic development and expansion of Overseas Express logistic network.
Building of the new logistic center will also enable the opening of 50 workplaces, while total value of the investment amounts to over 10 mil €. The center will have the most modern technology for processing and sorting packages. With this investment Overseas Express will multiply its capacity by 5 to 7 times.
All the investments in the new logistic and distribution center represent a step up for Overseas Express, enabling even better and finer service to its costumers. Apart from upgrading the service quality, the new technology will enable the development of the whole spectrum of new services.
Ground breaking ceremony of the new distribution center was opened by Mrs. Tanja Rukavina, Overseas Express Managing Director. Mr. Carl-Gerold Mende, Member of the Austrian Post Board, also attended the event.
